Route Groups are used to group existing routes for simplifying the switching.

Instead of calling multiple routes a single call to a route group might be easier.

For detailed explanation on how to use the filter, sort and edit and manipulate each column and cell refer to section EasyEdit

The following two routes will be grouped to group group_RED_BLUE

Select item Route Groups and add a new Group.

Under Routes simply select one or more existing routes which are intended to be grouped together.

In column Behavior the branch isolation of the routes within that group is listed.

Branch isolated means no common endpoints in this group are existing and need to be connected (no endpoint overlapping).

The 2 routes of the route group are treated independently.

It is not possible to add any route to a group with Multi-Point Routes and a common endpoint (no endpoint overlapping).

In this example the common endpoints would x3.

Against the above, non Multi-Point Routes can always be overlapped on purpose.

This can be dangerous and can cause unwanted shorts and thus must be used carefully.
