Switching and GP Output

This section details the use of general purpose output functions applicable to many output sub-unit types, for use in setting output states and monitoring their condition.
Note that although these functions may be used with them, some sub-unit types - for example matrix and programmable attenuator - are also served by specific functions offering more straightforward control.
